for everyone
This is a song the Lord recently gave me also during a season of wilderness. It is really during those times of solitude and brokenness with Him that the purest form of worship arises.

He gave the melody to this song as well (it started out as free-flowing poetry, then the melody came several days later).

Give You More - Chachie Buencamino

I come before You
bringing all I am, all I have
Leaving everything
Nothing else matters now

I've come to love You
more than I ever could before
Feeling Your heart and tears
Wanting what You want

Wanting what You want...

When You show me Your heart
I want to love the unlovely,
take in the wanderer,
and mend the broken.

When You show me Your heart
all of me disappears
and all my needs don't matter
All I see is You
All I see is You...

If this is the only way
to show You I love You
Then this is what I will do
I will always give You more...

Nakakaiyak naman. ;-)

I suddenly remember one very wise pastor's statement.

"We ought to give to God according to how He wants it. Like if I wanna give my wife a pair of shoes, will I give her something that I'd like? Or something that she'd like?"

God accepts our offerings, but He would always favor something given according to His pattern. As in the case of Cain and Abel perhaps.

*cry*

well, in the end it's always a question of LOVE, more than just pattern. Giving something to Him should involve love, in the sense that you'd give something to Him that you know He'd be pleased to have, even if it means you have to give up some things or be hurt along the way.

it's not about how much you "suffered" in the process of offering, its' about how much of your heart went with whatever you offered.

true. :)
love is choosing it His way, rather than our way. even when it hurts.

well said. :)

perhaps i could add that our whole heart goes with our offering when our "deserved own right to choose what and how to offer" is also offered.

(i can't help remembering the social contract concept discussed in socsci2, hehe, the geek takes over again...)

please.... spare me the socsci2 details, hahaha....

like Misty Edwards said in her song "I Will Waste My Life" (I posted that here somewhere too):

I am in love with You
There is no cost
I am in love with You
There is no loss

ayun.... true love means when you give to the One you love, there are no regrets Ü
